No next year for my ornamental apple tree.

It's been replaced! Well in the next couple of weeks ...

For the past two week the tree has been losing it's leaves..they are dropping fast. they first turn yellow and drop all over my yard and deck.

Houston we have a problem! We need to seal the deck! We certainly can't do it with leaves falling on it!

Today we went to the Nursery,picked out a Silver Maple. It's BEAUTIFUL! Tall just needs to fill out!

This week the bottom dropped right out of the temperature! We had some beautiful days this week in the low to mid 70's.

The Upper Peninsula Of Michigan had snow~ and the temps here were in the low 40's today..with a brisk to howling NE wind.


I'm very disappointed.My ornamental apple tree was just blooming. I love to sit out on the deck,smell the fragrant apple blossoms, and listen to the bees hum as they flit from blossom to blossom. I call it the bee tree at this time of the year. They are so loud!

Well that howling wind..tore every petal off the tree..my back yard is pink. Littered with the petals of my tree.
Well there's next year...

I want my Spring!

and I want it RIGHT NOW!

Just when my hostas are coming up well..my hyacinths are a couple inches tall~my tulips are up~

Mother Nature comes along and dumps snow on them!

It's beginning to look like Spring!

Today I'm going to a Lawn and Garden Show in Ubly~

Traditionally I buy my early bedding plants~ we do have some cold weather expected this week. As long as I put the flats up close to the house I've had good luck with pansies.

The courtyard has been raked and is looking a little greener~I love my courtyard. We have a deck to enjoy~this photo was taken last Spring~during expansion of the deck.



I'll have to take more photos when things green up a bit!

I had a very successful walk with the dog yesterday. I need to shed a few lbs. that I gained over the Winter..so does dog~great to have a "partner" to walk with!
